Musical Fun for Pre School Children

My Name is Steve “The Music Man”

After many successful years working with Rhythm Time Solihull and performing to 1000’s of people as Professor Pepperpot The Clown. I came up with The Idea of “The Music Man”

The Music Man

Taking the best bits of my children’s workshops, and adding well known nursery rhymes, pop songs, classical music and some of the better modern songs for children. I devised a series of Musical Workshops that can be used week by week, month by month, and incorporate many of the requirements of ofsted early years foundation program.

My focus as a professional entertainer is on how early years and childcare is organised, led and managed so that the children make good progress within the sessions.

By incorporating early years foundation work  I  have developed a program that will change month by month, session by session.

Leaving room so that each week it will always be able to include current ideas and stages that you, the nursery or preschool are

currently presenting to the children.

Child Led

Many of the songs and rhymes are used to educate the children with simple and easy steps. Numbers, Colours, Animals, Shapes, and The Seasons.

As professional entertainer for many years, I also have the ability to adapt the session on the fly. So if the children are requesting a song I am able to include it at the end of the session.

At its core it is fun, I believe children by there very nature are meant to be happy! They will thrive and learn more in a happy and safe environment.

Experience

Working with children as I have for over 20 years I have seen many idea’s come and go. What I have tried to achieve is a relaxed  and fun music session, that

allows the children to develop and learn at their own pace.

I am lucky to be a natural communicator with early years, and it is always a joy when a child who may not have had the confidence beforehand starts to express themselves and make contributions to the sessions.

As  professional children’s entertainer for over 15 years and having worked with children for most of his career,

Steve has become increasingly more concerned with Child Protection and the importance of our children’s safety. As parents we all want to provide a safe and secure environment for our

children. With this in mind Steve

regularly updates his CRB Enhanced Discloser (Police Check) A copy of this is available upon request. Steve as a member of  the actors union Equity is also fully insured for Public Liability.
